“Why do I feel like I'm destined for greatness?” I’ve asked myself this question many times throughout my life. 

I've had many great ideas. And I knew I had the will and power to make them a reality.

But I wasn’t brave and strong enough to make them happen. So I gave up. And went back to my ordinary life. But guess what? That’s what losers do. Not me or you. Not offbeat people.

Many people are okay with living an average life. But not you. You know you are destined for greatness.

What does it mean to be destined for greatness? And are you? In this post, I’ll explain what it means, how to tell if you are meant to be great, and what that means for you.

What Does It Mean to Be Destined For Greatness?

We were born for greatness. Well...some of us were.

Being destined for greatness means living a life beyond the ordinary, filled with purpose and meaning.

Are humans capable of greatness? Are we born with it or do we become great? Some individuals are destined for more than average—notice the distinction between wanting a simple life versus settling for mediocrity. From there, it’s a choice. Stay as you are, or follow the path and put in the work to achieve greatness.

Some of us have the potential for greatness. If we harness that potential effectively, incredible feats are within reach. Commit to greatness. Choose a great life and persevere. Fight for greatness.

Ever heard the fable of the eagle and the chicken?

An eagle raised among chickens lives like one, doing as chickens do. A naturalist recognizes the eagle's potential and encourages it to soar. Yet, the eagle remains grounded until taken to a place free from the influence of chickens. With space to spread its wings, the eagle finally takes flight.

The eagle is not a chicken. Chickens couldn’t achieve greatness, no matter their efforts. But the eagle will continue acting like a chicken if it remains among them.

What does this mean? You must be destined for greatness. But that’s not all—greatness starts with a strong will, followed by a a jump off the cliff that will take you into the sky.

Of course, wanting to be great is just the beginning. If you don't have a dream, how are you gonna make a dream come true?

How do you know if you're destined for greatness?

If you're driven and committed to your goals, you're likely destined for greatness.

Discovering if you're destined for greatness is like finding your way through a maze of doubts and uncertainties. But if you wake up every morning with an unwavering sense of purpose, fueled by a burning desire to overcome challenges and achieve your dreams, then you're already on the path to greatness.

Embrace every setback as an opportunity to grow stronger, and never lose sight of your ultimate goal. Trust in your inner drive and commitment, and you'll soon realize that greatness is within your reach. That's how you know if you're destined for greatness.

People destined for greatness are free from social norms. They don’t follow the beaten path. Instead, they create their own path. People that are destined for greatness are offbeat.

Alexander The Great changed the course of history.

Although he was one of the strongest generals in history, he respected the culture of the peoples he conquered. 

Plus, Alexander was the son of Zeus!

• Julius Caesar 

Julius Caesar transformed Rome from a republic to an empire, grabbing power through ambitious political reforms.

And he had a spicy relationship with Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt. I think that’s a sign of greatness...

What Are the Signs of Greatness?

People that are designed for greatness don’t copy what others do. Because they don’t want to be like others. They have a clear vision of what they want to achieve, and they let their everyday actions bring them there. 

Offbeat Means Being Destined For Greatness

Many humans feel like they’re destined for greatness. That’s how we, as a species, managed to achieve great things throughout our history.

Many people want to be great. Some of them have ideas to achieve that. A few of those try to implement these ideas. Very few insist. And almost nobody succeeds. That’s not to discourage you. Actually, it’s the opposite. I want to encourage you to be one of those very few people who succeed.

One more thing...

Understand that greatness can be achieved in “ordinary life”. By that, I mean that you don’t have to be famous to be great. You just have to accomplish your “great” goals.
